THE GRADUATE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION 

NIDA BUSINESS SCHOOL

Established in 1966, Graduate School of Business Administration (GSBA) or NIDA Business School was the first school in Thailand to have offered an MBA program that has continuously dedicated all of its resources and expertise to providing only graduate level business education. GSBA has also put more MBA professionals into professional positions at global companies in Thailand and in the Thai public sector than any other MBA program in Thailand. The School now offers various programs at both the master’s and doctorate levels.

Thai Program:

1. Regular MBA Program (RMBA) 

The Regular MBA Program is designed for students who recently finished their bachelor’s degree and who have limited or no work experience. The program is designed to increase students’ analytical ability to a level where the students are able to formulate business strategies for dynamic business environments. The Regular Program offers four major fields of study: finance, international business, marketing, and operations management. However, students can opt to pursue one of the following options: no-major, one major, and dual-major. This program is conducted partially in the Thai language; thus, students that plan on entering this program must be fluent in Thai.

2. Flexible MBA Program (Flex-MBA)

The Flexible MBA Program is designed for busy or working students at all levels of management. It is specifically designed to serve professionals who are available to study only during weekends. In addition, qualified students can opt to pursue one of the following options: no major, one major, and dual major. Students that apply for this program, in general, have at least one year of professional post-baccalaureate work-experience (at the date of application), or its equivalent. The bachelor’s degree must be from an accredited academic institution. Students must also be fluent in the Thai language.

3. Executive MBA Program (EMBA)

The Executive MBA Program is designed to empower managers with broad knowledge, leadership skills, and ideas in modern management and business ethics that will allow them to fully integrate their experience, leadership skills, and vision to develop an organizational structure that is globally competitive and sustainable.

Generally, students who intend to apply for this program have worked in their professions for 8 years or more after having earned their bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited academic institution, are at least 30 years old, are at the managerial level or above, and are fluent in the Thai language.

4. Young Executive MBA Program (YMBA)

The Young Executive MBA Program is designed to empower managers, who are ready to pursue middle-and top-management positions, with ethical leadership skills and an understanding of the behavioral aspects of operations. Students in this program have at least three years of professional post-baccalaureate work experience, are not more than 35 years old, possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution, and are fluent in the Thai language.

English/International Program:

1. English MBA Program (English MBA)

The English MBA Program is a full-time daytime MBA Program that is conducted entirely in English. Also, qualified students (i.e., students in good standing) may pursue one of the following options: no major, one major, and dual major. For example, students can major in both finance and marketing.

2. International MBA Program

The International MBA Program integrates core courses of business administration with concentration courses in international business and economics in the Asia-Pacific region from macro environmental to corporate levels. This program requires part-time study, to better fit students’ needs and lifestyle. Class will normally be held during the weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).

3. Master of Science in Financial Investment and Risk Management Program (MSc in FIRM)

GSBA has utilized its faculty members, many of whom have earned the CFA and FRM designations or are experts in risk management and the investment community, to develop and deliver the curriculum used in the Master of Science in Financial Investment and Risk Management (MSc in FIRM).

4. Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration (Ph.D. in Business Administration)

The Doctor of Philosophy Program in Business Administration prepares doctoral students to become highly proficient in all of aspects within his/her area of specialization. The program provides a challenging course of study in the most recent developments in both theoretical and empirical aspects for the specialization of : (1) Accounting, (2) Finance, (3) International Business, (4) Management, (5) Management Information Systems, (6) Marketing, and (7) Operations Management. Students will become acquainted with advanced training in theory and research methods, which will prepare them to make significant contributions to academia. The program’s primary objective is to prepare doctoral students to become scholars with great expertise in publishing research and teaching.
